I Love CBC

Far n' Wide posted this and thought I'd share. Call me paranoid, but I think Canadian public broadcasting is in trouble, and will be facing tough times if the CPC manages to form another government after the next election.

  1. Then by all means donate to it and watch it. Just don't force the rest of us to.

  2. I don't want overpriced underperforming fighter jets, do I get to opt out of that? Yeah, that's what I though. What a tired point.

  3. Hmm? We have CTV and Global. They provide some Canadian content and some of it is actually good. Best of all, they generate revenue.

    The fighter jets are expensive and may be scaled back I suppose. I do not see any private fighter jets as an option.Your point is silly.

  4. Yes, my point is silly. To suggest that government should only fund whatever Anonymous thinks is worth it is a perfectly reasonable point. Idiot.

  5. No. Not at all. My point is that there is a viable option to the CBC already in existance.
    I prefer it. That is all.

    You have to pay for roads, schools, jets libraries etc.;So do I. An increase in CBC funding isn't needed.I'd suggest many agree.

  6. Your "point" has absolutley nothing to do with "fighter jets"; your analogy makes no sense. If you don't want those jets, your party could always choose to defeat the government, contest an election, and IF your party wins, cancel the deal.

    I have no such option with the CBC. At least if I don't like SUN TV being included in my cable package, I can cancel and change cable companies. It doesn't matter who the government is, while the CBC is around, I am paying for what I see as garbage programming and in my opinion, blatantly biased news that I don't want to be forced to pay for with my taxes. That is, until a truly conservative government comes along and just privatizes it and lets it sink or swim on it's own. If it IS in trouble as a public broadcaster, it should be.

    I'm willing to bet you have no clue how hilariously stupid this statement is. Double or nothing that you wouldn't know R.B. Bennett from a hole in the ground.

  8. Hint (since Reformatories are mainly twits brainwashed by US Republican Party stupidity) a truly conservative government what what created the CBC in the first place.

    Also I have yet to be shown one example of how the CBC is liberal-biased by any of you loons.

  9. KW;

    Brilliant! Were you one of those prisoners with a red "L" shaved in your scalp while lining up to vote in a previous election?

  10. Actually Anon, as Shiner will testify from my criticisms of the Liberals, I'm an old school Diefenbaker Tory. Which is why I loath Harper, and his brain-dead followers ...like yourself.

  11. I haven't given a nickel to any party; Ever. So, you are guilty of making the same error you seem to loathe in others.
